Flash-Grounding: High-Impact Mental Imagery for When Time is Short Abstract: Many of us often have only minutes to move a client from dysregulation to safety – and oftentimes that client is ourself ! This interactive workshop explores the application of "Flash-Grounding," the use of short-term imagery interventions designed for rapid stabilization. Moving beyond traditional relaxation, we will focus on sensory-centered mental imagery that interrupts the "amygdala hijack" and re-engages the prefrontal cortex, and beyond that - brings us into connection with one’s inner intuitive knowing. Participants will learn how to facilitate and practice brief imagery exercises that can be integrated easily and unobtrusively into everyday life and circumstances. We will examine the ethics and efficacy of imagery in short-term models, focusing on untapped resilience and containment. The session includes experiential practice, allowing participants to refine their "directive voice" and develop a portable toolkit of imagery interventions that require no equipment and minimal time, but offer maximum neurological, spiritual, and emotional impact. | Bio: Dr. Randy Kasper, LCSW BCD earned her PhD in Leadership Studies.
