Summer is the season of the fire element, bringing the passion of love into our lives,  especially self-love and nurturing. It is about transforming hatred and impatience into love and compassion. Summer evokes the voice of the healer/shaman in us.

We will use Meditation, Guided Integrative Imagery and Chi Gong for individual and collective benefit. Integrative Imagery is a powerful mind-body practice using our own images from the Heart to access Self-Love and Healing. We will practice a variety of Chi Gong forms, all related to the Lotus, the beautiful flower of Summer.

Come join us to bask in the warmth of Summer and reap the benefits of its ENERGY!

Guided Imagery Training Programs and Classes

Guided Imagery Training Programs

Leslie Davenport, MFT

Leslie Davenport

NEW! Transformational Imagery at California Institute of Integral Studies

This three unit class begins September 9, 2013, and is offered through the Master’s Program in Integrative Health Studies. You do not need to be currently enrolled at CIIS, and could take the course under “special student” status. It is a three hour class that meets weekly for three and a half months.

Through a compelling and extensive body of research connected to the field of psychoneuroimmunology, we have learned that conscious and unconscious images within us have a direct impact on our physiology, offering guided imagery an important role for a range of health-related conditions. Examples include the ability to lower cholesterol and glucose levels in the blood, heighten short-term immune cell activity, lower blood pressure, reduce complications related to surgery, as well as anxiety relief and enhance well-being. An interactive-style of imagery facilitation which navigates the mind-body-emotions-spirit matrix will be taught and practiced, along with an understanding of its applications for a variety of health and lifestyle concerns.

For more information, contact the Integrative Health Studies Department. Course Description. CIIS Syllabus Transformative Imagery.

Certificate in Deep Imagination through John K Kennedy University

All Continuing Education Certificate courses may be taken as either certificate courses or as stand-alone Continuing Education courses. Prerequisites must be observed. Credit for MFT, LCSW, Psychologists and RN’s.

Over the past 30 years, research has demonstrated the effectiveness of guided imagery with mood, happiness, trauma, performance, health, and creativity. The power of imagery lies in its capacity to access unconscious and pre-conscious processes when approaching therapeutic goals. By learning how to tap into a client’s key symbols and metaphors, the capacity for change accelerates, positively influencing the emotional, mental, social, spiritual, and behavioral outcomes.

This certificate program will allow you to build competence with an interactive-style of imagery that is non-scripted. It can be applied toward individuals, couples, groups and with children, to address a range of topics including complex grief, depression, pain, insomnia and other symptoms, end of life issues, and PTSD.

Certificate requirements: A total of 45 hours is required. This includes four core courses and at least seven electives. New electives will be available in each catalog and different core courses are offered throughout the year.

Free Warrior-Centric Introduction to Guided Imagery

Thursday, May 2nd, 2013

First Sergeant (Ret) David Rauls’ intro has been a big hit with military personnel, veterans and first responders

Belleruth Naparstek

Belleruth Naparstek

Dave Rauls’ dynamic, humorous and highly warrior-centric introduction to guided imagery was originally created for the first recording in the Fort Sill Reliency Series, Mind-Body Exercises for Self-Mastery.

It was such a runaway hit on its own and was so persuasive an endorsement for the power of guided imagery to help with combat stress, depression, anger, traumatic grief and insomnia , that we decided to offer it gratis for use with any guided imagery order.

This introduction helps the wired listener understand why it is important to do this work.  Click HERE to see the complete story and obtain a free must listen to copy of the introduction.
