About Integrative Guided Imagery
Using the power of the imagination as an adjunct in health care is becoming more and more common place. Guided imagery is being incorporated into stress management classes, surgery preparation, cardiac rehab and in the full spectrum of cancer care, just to name a few. It is a vital way patients can take an active role in their own well-being and healing.
Yet there are few formal guided imagery training sources. One that has been training and certifying healthcare professionals since 1996 is Beyond Ordinary Nursing‘s Certificate Program in Integrative Imagery.
Phase I begins October 9-11, in Redwood City, California, very close to the San Francisco airport. Registration is due September 1st and a tuition reduction for the full program is $600 for this tract only.

- 20.4 contact hours for phase I for RNs, LCSWs and MFTs

While we are discussing the benefits of Beyond Ordinary Nursing Imagery Certification Program Imagery International — A Professional Association of Guided Imagery Practitioners, Classes offer the basics of providing care. Nursing Assistant programs will include courses in medical and surgical nursing, newborn care, pharmacology, anatomy, physiology, infection control, patient safety, personal care, phlebotomy, emergency care, and in CPR and First Aid. Hands-on training in providing patient care will complete the education process.
